Sets up and operates automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation | Monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications | Reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment | Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. This individual will direct and coordinate fabrication, installation, operation, application, maintenance and repair of mechanical or electromechanical machines, equipment, tools, engines and systems. Ensures that quality levels and industry standards are maintained or improved in the manufacturing process. Evaluates mechanical products to determine their cost effectiveness and efficiency. May evaluate in-process use and recommend design modifications to eliminate malfunctions. Supports development of mechanical components and subsystems for Solid Rocket Motors to include the case, liner, nozzle, igniter, case and system assembly and test. Evaluate designs for incremental improvement to ensure requirements are met.

Plans, schedules and monitors inbound movement of materials from suppliers | Determines material requirements and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering | Develops specifications for new contract orders
Coordinates incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts that include functions such as warehousing, shop and delivery services to ensure material availability and delivery when needed to meet production schedules | Compiles data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts and applies statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements
Leads team of quality inspectors and supplier quality engineers across two sites. Directs the day-to-day quality deliverables and initiatives, examples include C of C review, shipment data packages, root cause and investigation, tooling inspection, non-conformance control and documentation. Manages the supplier quality function including performance metrics, quality deliverables and effective supplier RCCA’s. Manages the calibration system supporting the procurement and service of all inspection equipment and calibrated instruments/tooling. Supports the development, implementation and continuous improvement of inspection procedures and technologies. Implements and helps maintain the site Quality Management System in accordance with current quality standards in an AS9100 environment.
Performs supply chain and logistics functions such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution | Creates integrated processes among internal functions (e.g., operations, purchasing and logistics) and outside suppliers | Responsibilities are within the Supply Chain and Logistics Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines. *We are on a 9/80 schedule (9 hour days Monday - Thursday, alternating Fridays off, opposite Fridays 8 hour days).
