This individual will be required to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical). Evaluate and recommend equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield. Perform equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance). Knowledge of air monitoring for alpha and beta radiation, employee dosimetry, exposure controls, radiation surveys for alpha and beta contamination control in process areas and at firing range, direct reading survey meters, and smear counting instruments, LLRW, and radioactive material shipping surveys.

Designs, develops and implements nondestructive testing (NDT) to evaluate the properties and conformance of a material, component or system without causing damage. Records, analyzes and reports test results. Writes testing plans and maintains test documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements.
