We are currently seeking a Ballistician to join our growing Solid Rocket Motor Engineering Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating rocket motor concepts from high level thrust/burn time requirements and refining into detailed grain and nozzle designs. The job requires collaboration to define propellant grain geometries and optimize burn rates, thrust curves, and pressure profiles. The candidate will work with design engineers to communicate operating pressures, analysts to communicate temperature and load profiles, chemists to communicate ballistic requirements, and manufacturing engineers to ensure grain geometry can be produced. ** This is a full-time position with a 9/80 schedule. This position can be remote or at our Huntsville, AL or Hampton, AR facility.

Lead an Integrated Project Team (IPT) to design, develop, manufacture, and deliver products. Works with engineering management to plan, staff, and execute projects of all sizes. Serves as engineering interface to program management, senior leadership, and the customer community. Ensures project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule, and cost.
The Principal Materials Engineer designs, develops and modifies processes and methods for the manufacture, molding and utilization of metallic, plastic, composite and other materials in construction and production of hardware, electronic components and structures. Determines design approaches and parameters. Analyzes materials and material components to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Selects materials for inclusion in products based on analysis of specifications and reliability. Completes documentation and procedures for processing, testing and use of materials.
