We are currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our growing Solid Rocket Motor Engineering Team. The successful candidate for this role has a strong understanding of thermal analysis principles, with expertise in some of the tools common in industry. As a Thermal Engineer you will conduct detailed thermal analysis of solid rocket motor components. You will collaborate closely with cross-disciplinary teams, interface with customers, and drive technical excellence. ** This is a full-time position with a 9/80 schedule. This position can be remote or at our Huntsville, AL or Hampton, AR facility.
Performs economic research and studies of rates of return, depreciation and investments | Analyzes profit-and-loss income statements and prepares reports and recommendations to management | Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance and other areas of business | Researches economic progressions to assist the organization's financial planning | Creates financial models of "what if" scenarios for future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development, new marketing strategies, etc.
Provides technical oversight for DoD ammunition production programs through production support, continuous improvement, ensuring compliant, on-schedule delivery and resolving technical issues to maintain safety and meet all contractual requirements. Responsible for designing, implementing and reviewing the procedures, equipment, and tools involved in the manufacturing process. Their duties include researching automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency and planning factory layouts to optimize production.
Develops, designs, builds and tests robotic platforms from prototype through product commercialization. Creates an integrated autonomous interface, mobility, communication, and human-robot interaction. Works with cross-functional teams to understand opportunities for robotic applications.

Works with cross-functional teams to understand opportunities for automation applications.For assigned automation projects the Automation Engineer will work to define the problem statement and technical requirements, coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams to determine an appropriate technical solution and oversee the development and implementation of the solution. Lead the development of new equipment specifications, supplier selection, quote reviews and technical support through design, installation, and verification activities.

The Principal Controls Engineer (Field Service Engineering) leads the Active Protection (APS) initiative including installation, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and customer support at various domestic and international locations. Assists in developing and provides feedback on system installation drawings, documents, and procedures. Leads and performs APS kit installations, and develops familiarity with customer equipment, sites, and teams. Solves complex problems as they develop; ensures safety, quality, and schedule relative to the assigned contractual tasks. Will be the expert in APS field system installations. Travel may include OCONUS trips.Ability to obtain a Security Clearance is required.
