**The hourly rate for this position is $26.49**
The Packer #2 will package finished products for shipment and can perform the following: Foam-in-Place Packaging, Military Packaging, and Commercial Packaging Practices. Must be knowledgeable of packing procedures, materials, and types of shipping containers. Oil parts prior to packing using various types of oil for corrosion prevention. Maintains records of serial numbers, packaging contents, dates, etc. Follow established company directives and policies, military specifications, process sheet operations, and instructions
Individually wraps items. May place in foil and plastic bags and vacuum heat seal. Assemble cardboard boxes, tubing cans, crates, cells and supports for shipping containers. Place packed cardboard containers in pre-made wooden boxes of various sizes. Use saws, hammers, paddles, nails, metal bands, strapping, crimpers, stretchers, cutters and utility knives to prepare wooden containers for shipment, as well as, pneumatic air tools.
Produce packaging labels on computer terminal including RFID/UID labeling. Use stencil machines for producing letters and numbers. Operate stacker for moving heavy shipping containers.
The physical capacity requirements for this position require the incumbent to be able to lift 35 pounds frequently. Practice safety and good housekeeping policies and procedures.
Manufacturing Environment: Well-lighted, may be heated but is not air-conditioned. May be exposed to noise, vibration, or atmospheric conditions.
