Job Summary

Manages the preparation of proposals and establishes the organization's infrastructure. Collaborates with business developers and account managers to obtain and clarify customer requirements. Identifies and manages appropriate resources and team support to develop, package and price custom solutions. May coordinate legal sign-off on bids and proposals, placement of supplier orders and acceptance of customer orders.

Please note: This role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person & independent work with the ideal candidate to be located at one of these locations - St. Petersburg, FL / Scranton, PA / Mesquite, TX.

Essential Functions

• Contributes to the strategy of the organization's proposals function.   
• Collaborates with the legal team to ensure the preparation of the bid & proposal process follows company policies and adheres to legal requirements. 
• Implements strategies that help with proposal development and ensures customer specifications are met.  
• Maintains proposals used to ensure compliance with reporting and regulatory requirements. 
• Implements and ensures compliance with policy and processes updates that govern the proposals staff and provides guidance on handling complex proposals.   
• Leads, tracks & reports proposal activity results to senior leadership.
• Utilizes expert knowledge of proposals, bids and applicable government regulations to lead and develop strategies to meet business objectives. 

Required Qualifications

  • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 8-10 years’ experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/ or Experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Finance or related degree preferred.
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Organizational skills. Planning skills. Oral and written communication skills. Leadership skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Travel Requirements

Less than 25% travel likely.
