Job Summary
You must be a dynamic and innovative Sr Manager with experience in designing, implementing and monitoring a variety of HR programs in support of a high-performance culture and diverse workforce. Anticipates and plans for long-term HR needs and trends in partnership with business management. Essential Functions
Manages the human resources function of an organization.
Oversees execution of human resources policies and programs, which may include recruitment and onboarding, training and career development, employee relations, and compensation and benefits planning.
Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including EEO, FMLA, and FLSA.
Assists line managers in the application of HR programs to departmental operations.
Answers employee/candidate questions about HR policies and offerings.
Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & Senior Leadership.
Additional Responsibilities
Monitors employee development & training programs, assesses needs & results, develops new programs, modifies existing programs & facilitates programs
Required Qualifications
Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 7-8 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
Discipline/Major: Business or Human Resources preferred
Additional certifications: SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred
Knowledge, skills & abilities: Ability to foster teamwork. Management skills. Oral and written communication skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships. Customer/client orientation. Detail oriented. Interpersonal skills. Planning skills. Talent Acquisition systems (i.e. iCIMS). HRIS systems (i.e. PeopleSoft)
Physical Requirements
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
