Overview

Manages all aspects (end-to-end project lifecycle) of a diverse group of IT projects, typically involving multiple Disciplines (i.e., infrastructure and applications) in the IT Function | Utilizes expertise and leadership skills to direct matrixed project teams and to resolve issues to ensure project goals and requirements are met | Ability to work with varying project management methodologies/frameworks (i.e. Waterfall, Scrum/Agile) and tools for team collaboration, project tracking/management, and issue/risk resolution.

 

 

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies for the IT community to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high-quality standards and meet customer expectations.   
  • Manages technical and non-technical aspects of the project.   
  • Plans, schedules, and ensures timely completion of the project.  
  • Assembles project teams and manages resource allocation and day-to-day operations of the project.   
  • Serves as liaison between team members and management team regarding projects. 
  • Incorporates quality measures and standards to project deliverables.  
  • Possesses strong knowledge of technology.

Basic Qualifications

  • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience or Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Change Management. Fit/Gap Analysis. Project Administration. Project Controls. Project Documentation. Project Implementation. Project Lifecycle Management (PLM). Project Planning. Project Scheduling. Project Scoping. Scope Management. Stakeholder Management. Technical Project Management. Budgetary Controls. Project Management Software. 
  • Critical professional related technical skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Business, Information Technology or related degree preferred.
  • Certification: Project management certifications (ie., PMP, CSM, PSM, etc)
  • Aerospace and defense industry experience a plus

 

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

 

Travel:

  • Less than ​​25% likely.
