The SC Compliance Specialist ensures operations are aligned to contracts and regulations through supply chain. Ensures that inventories are secure, properly identified and readily accessible to authorized personnel.  Maintains controls over various types of inventories (e.g., raw materials, subassemblies, finished goods). Conducts physical inventory counts and reconciles results with inventory records | Ensures that quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments are correct. Conducts analyses of inventory levels and coordinates with production and sales requirements

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Follows & stays informed of new or updated policies and procedures that ensure supply chain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards.
  • Monitors the regulatory environment and responds to or shares to new or amended legislation.
  • Conducts supply chain compliance tests or audits and reports findings to the leadership team.
  • Reports and gathers information on allegations of illegal, improper, or unethical conduct by employees or company representatives.
  • May update, deliver or inform others of supply chain compliance-related training sessions.
  • Provide Government Property Compliance support

Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree and 2-4 years' experience, OR
  • Equivalent combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree-Supply Chain, Business or related degree

Must Have Major Competencies/Skills:

  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Decision-making skills and Problem Managment
  • Oral and Written communication skills
  • Problem/situation analysis
  • Analytical thinking skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Physical Demands:  

 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Travel:  

  • Less than 25% travel likely
