General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems, a premier provider of ordnance weapons and tactical systems to the U.S. Department of Defense and allied nations, has an opening for an on-site Summer Engineer Intern to join the Engineer team at our site in Niceville, FL.

The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams on various technical projects associate with our core mission. Major Position Responsibilities

  • · Provides support to technical employees working in an organizational function related to the Intern's
  • area of study.
  • · Assists with technical tasks and project support.
  • · Supports equipment set up and monitors tests and experiments.
  • · Observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports.
  • · Learns technical processes and procedures.
  • · Job shadows other more experienced professionals and or support staff.
  • · May also support the documentation & updates of procedures or work instructions.
  • · Handles basic issues and problems

Basic Qualifications

  • Required Education: Must Be currently enrolled in related Technical Engineering Courses or be within 6 months of graduation
  • Years and Area of Experience Required:Ability to work as part of a team. Oral and written communication skills. Attentiveness. Ability to understand and follow directions.
