Prepares and maintains tax records, returns, reports and other related materials | Recommends alternative tax treatments to alleviate or reduce tax burden.

• Plans and directs all aspects of the tax policies and objectives for the organization, including the preparation and filing of all required tax returns.  

• Ensures compliance with all federal state, local, and foreign tax regulations while working to minimize tax liability and maximize after-tax profits.  

• Researches strategies for minimizing future tax liabilities

• Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 12-15 years' experience or Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
• Critical professional related technical skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge, skills & abilities: Organizational Skills. Tax Reporting. Tax Preparation. GAAP Standards. Tax Accounting. Tax Regulations. Accounting Software. Enterprise Tax Software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
• Discipline/Major: Business or Finance degree preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
• Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

Travel:

• Less than ​​25% likely.
