Designs, develops and implements nondestructive testing (NDT) to evaluate the properties and conformance of a material, component or system without causing damage. Records, analyzes and reports test results. Writes testing plans and maintains test documentation in accordance with applicable regulations and requirements.
· Participates in the development, implementation and administration of programs and activities within the nondestructive testing function of the organization.
· Oversees that results are documented in accordance with the specification.
· Supervises the work of personnel who utilize ultrasound, radiography, or other techniques during the testing process.
· Supervises findings of equipment and system performance checks and recommends corrective actions.
· Administers and oversees nondestructive testing procedures, policies, and techniques as necessary.
· Leads, oversees and tracks NDT training as needed.
· Leads and directs the work of other employees and has some responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with
concurrence fromHR & Senior Leadership.
Required Education and Experience: Associate's Degree and 3-5 years’ experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevent Education &/or Experience
Preferred Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree
Discipline/Major: Science Degree in NDT or equivalent training and experience
Additional Certifications: NAS 410 Certification Level 2: State issued industrial radiographer certificate - Ability to achieve Level I, Level II, or Level III certification in alignment with NAS 410 standards, through education, training, and testing, and perform the required Level III requirements
