Overview

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is looking for an experienced Manager, Contracts to join our Lincoln, NE organization. We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow. 

 

GD-OTS provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With more than 60 years of expertise, GD-OTS designs, develops, manufactures, and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes and fuel tanks.

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Supervises all activities in the organization's contracts administration function.
  • Oversees the preparation and administration of bids, proposals, negotiations, and contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements.
  • Supervises the contracts administration staff and guides compliance with complex contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversees and develops policies and processes that govern the contract administration staff and provides guidance on contract terms and the assessment of contract proposals.
  • Has a strong understanding of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations.
  • Drives negotiations with suppliers, partners, or customers.
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & Senior Leadership. 

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate's required in applicable in Law & Management or related Business degree; Bachelor's preferred.

  • Minimum 5-7 years experience required; Government contracts expereience preferred.
