The Garland Team is seeking a Operator-Detail on First(1st).

Major Position Responsibilities

Position: Operator - Detail

Shift: 1st

Pay: $21.34 hourly

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Perform operations of bomb body manufacturing as required by job task assignment
  • Ability to meet production schedule producing quality product to drawings, blueprints, and/or specifications 
  • Read and correctly interpret applicable SOI’s and SOP’s required in job assignment
  • Ability to accurately report and complete process and/or specific task reporting
  • Job duties may include generation and movement of industrial and/or hazardous waste

          

Basic Qualifications

Skills and qualifications required include the following but are not limited to:

                  

  • High school education or equivalent combination of experience
  • One (1) plus years various equipment and metal surface
  • Ability to operate manual equipment such as lathes, horizontal drilling machines, mills, paint, assembly, test equipment and shot blast equipment, etc. required to perform assigned tasks for bomb operations.
  • Functional math and metal surface preparation skills required to complete job
  • Knowledge and ability to use all gages and instruments required to related job tasks
  • Ability to handle parts weighing up to 50lbs and heavier parts with the use of power devices
  • Ability to push/pull/rotate casings with the assistance of a power conveyor as needed to progress production
  • Exposure to weather conditions, elevated temperatures, normal plant noise and heat
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time

 

Work environment

 

  • Elevated temperatures, thick smoke, dirt and grease.
  • Physically able to lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Handling materials up to 900 degrees with proper tools.
  • High paced production environment to meet standards.
