Summary:

 

The individual is responsible for preparing and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and present to management complex Estimate at Complete (EACs) to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and assess program performance. Additionally, they will monitor financial performance and identify trends to support decision making including monthly revenue forecasts for the current fiscal year and semi-annual four-year revenue forecasts to provide insights and recommendations to management. The analyst will manage the preparation and submission of government billings (progress billings and/or public vouchers), ensuring compliance with all regulations and compliance. Furthermore, they will develop Earned Value (EV) baselines, associated planning and work authorization documentation, generate EV reports with associated analyses and support the Program Manager (PM) with monthly execution of Latest Revisied Estimate (LRE) instance and Variance Analysis instance.

 

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Conducts quantitative analyses of information affecting budgets, expenses, and other financial projects of public or private institutions
  • Collects and analyzes financial information for assigned accounts, products or product lines, or business units in order to track the organization's progress against financial goals
  • Reports current or expected financial performance and creates financial models to guide decision making
  • Analyzes cash flow, expenditures, revenue, depreciation, and investments to make recommendations for action and/or modifications regarding financial procedures, plans, and controls
  • Assists in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, or annual financial statements

Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree
  • OR Equivalent combination of relevent education and/or experience
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Cost Estimating or related Finance degree
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
  • Knowledge of financial management principles, program planning, Earned Value (EV) reporting for government contracts, budgeting and practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Office 365 tools
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting techniques
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, ORACLE, IFS) is highly desirable

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of concepts, principles, practices and procedures of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments
  • Strong computer skills, administrative data control, scheduling and team interface
  • Strong written, digital and verbal communication skills in both an individual and team environment
  • Looks for ways to improve and promote quality
  • Must be able to possess strong, planning, execution and multitasking skills and have demonstrated ability to reprioritize on the fly
  • Must be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlines
