Overview

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) is looking for an experienced Sr. Financial Ananlyst to join our Lincoln, NE organization. We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow. 

 

GD-OTS provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With more than 60 years of expertise, GD-OTS designs, develops, manufactures, and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes and fuel tanks.

 

Position Location Details: this position is located on-site at our facility in Lincoln, NE.

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Performs economic research and studies of rates of return, depreciation and investments
  • Analyzes profit-and-loss income statements and prepares reports and recommendations to management
  • Generates forecasts and analyzes trends in sales, finance and other areas of business
  • Researches economic progressions to assist the organization's financial planning
  • Creates financial models of "what if" scenarios for future business planning decisions in areas such as new product development, new marketing strategies, etc.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Accounting, Finance or business-related field from an accredited four-year college or university; minimum of 3 - 6 years cost accounting or finance related experience; experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.

 

Math Ability:

The ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

 

Reasoning Ability:

The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
