This individual will be required to lead development and implementation of complex systems for testing, inspection, process control, safety, and process improvement of Solid Rocket Motor (SRM). Develope and publish integrated test plans, detailed test plans, test schedules and test procedures for developmental testing. Collaborate with internal and external customers on requirements to ensure testing confirms products function as designed. Design and install sophisticated testing equipment. Drive development of test codes. Drive product testing. Collect, format, analyze, present test data, and generate summary reports. Lead test readiness reviews and pre/post-test briefing.

 

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Interacts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications.
  • Participates in final system integration and validation to identify functional problems.
  • Defines internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs.
  • Creates, documents, and analyzes the most complex test cases and provides feedback and recommendations for product or design changes.
  • Ensures testing procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards.
  • Identifies chronic or systemic problems in testing and develops and implements improvements to process.
  • May coordinate with vendors or suppliers to modify or develop testing for components or other parts.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Required Education: Associate's Degree​
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree​
  • Discipline/Major: General Engineering or specialized Engineering degree required ​
  • Years and Area of Experience (required for the role): 10-12 years’ experience​
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Conformance testing. Product testing. Test engineering. Quality standard development. Bug/defect identification. Industry standards. Test documentation. Bug tracking software. Software testing tools. Oral and written communication skills. Critical thinking. Analytical thinking.
  • Critical Professional Related Technical Skills; Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
