Overview

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider to the US Department of Defense and allied nations, is seeking a Development Senior Program Manager, with experience in the aerospace/defense industry, to join our Healdsburg or Folsom, California team.

 

The Development Senior Program Manager's role is leading and delivering on all phases of the program life cycle from inception (proposal development) through startup, adhering to contractual requirements on cost and schedule, technical execution based on the program requirements, the creating of customer intimacy, and program completion (contract closeout). The position leads and directs a cross-functional Integrated Program Team (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectives, manage program resources, and measure and report program performance. Senior Program Managers often present to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders. The role is also responsible for development and adherence to budget baselines utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM) or similar methodologies.

*We are on a 9/80 schedule (9 hour days Monday - Thursday, alternating Fridays off, opposite Fridays 8 hour days). 

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Has P&L responsibilities for a specific program
  • Implements and administers one or more corporate programs, typically consisting of multiple programs or sub-programs.
  • Executes programs that meet the needs of the organization or its employees or customers.
  • Participates in all aspects of corporate programs, including planning, budgeting, staffing, and performance.
  • Promotes the program throughout the organization and tracks utilization.
  • Supervises the work of program or project staff to ensure that work in completed on time or in accordance with established standards or specifications.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics.
  • Ensures that activities are in compliance with organizational policies and any relevant external regulations.
  • Provides reports and updates to senior management or other stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education & experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • 8 - 10 years or relevant experience

Pay Range (USD)

$138,254 - $256,757 annually. The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Additional Compensation

Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Gain Sharing Program.

PTO, Holiday, and Family Leave
