Summary: 

 

Plans and implements the design, manufacture, installation and/or maintenance of electrical systems and apparatus, such as electric motors, machinery controls, lighting, wiring and power systems/devices, for the generation, transmission and control of electric power.

 

 

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Designs, develops, and tests electrical equipment, components, circuits, or systems
  • Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to designs
  • Performs extensive testing and validation of designs to ensure reliability, performance, and safety standards are achieved
  • Conducts research and studies new technologies to innovate and design solutions or products

Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree and 5-7 years experience
  • Discipline/Major: Electrical Engineering or other Engineering degree required
  • OR Equivalent Combination of Relevent Education & Experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience in the Aerospace or Defense industry

Other Requirements:

  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Physical Demands: 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
  • May need to stand for long periods of time.
  • Work may require employee to work inside and outside with exposure to changing climate and/or operate machinery.
  • This position is Safety Sensitive.

 

Travel Requirements: 

  • Less than 25% travel likely.

Pay Range (USD)

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the range during the hiring process: $74,550.00 - $138,450.00.
