Summary:

 

Human Resources (HR) professional that has passion for making a difference and a proven track record in the HR field, excellent interpersonal skills, keen understanding of business operations, who always acts with integrity, and works collaboratively as a trusted advisor. Dynamic and innovative HR professional with experience in designing, implementing and monitoring a variety of HR programs in support of a high-performance culture and diverse workforce. Anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs and trends in line with business needs.

 

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Supports the organization by implementing and administering human resources programs or policies
  • Implements human resources programs by providing HR services, which may include recruiting and staffing, administration of compensation and benefits programs, training and development, employee or labor relations, and affirmative action/equal employment opportunity compliance
  • Completes personnel transactions and maintains associated records
  • Collects and analyzes internal and external information in order to compare the organizations HR practices to those prevailing in the market
  • Ensures compliance with applicable labor laws or regulations
  • May also have responsibility for:
    • HR Compliance:
      • Collaborates and provides guidance on all issues of employment compliance related to the organization's human capital
      • Monitors compliance issues and implications concerned with discrimination, sexual harassment, health and safety, hiring and firing, as well as all other aspects of employee rights and responsibilities
      • Develops, implements, and evaluates diversity/equal employment opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action programs to ensure compliance with government legislation and organization goals
      • Provides training and coaching for employees and managers on diversity issues
      • Determines the efficiency and effectiveness of the EEO data system
      • Recommends improvements in recruitment and employee programs to ensure compliance with diversity/EEO goals and regulations
    • Training/ Development including:
      • Developing, implementing, and evaluating employee development plans and programs to support organizational needs such as management development, talent management, succession planning, technical or nontechnical training, or e-learning
      • Monitors employee development and training programs, assesses needs and results, develops new programs, modifies existing programs and facilitates programs
    • Benefits:

Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree
  • OR equivalent combination of relevent education and experience
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management or related discipline
  • Human Resources Certifications PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, and/or SHRM-SCP
  • HR experience in a manufacturing environment, including multishift organizations, and/or in defense industry
  • Experience using Talent Acquisition systems (i.e. iCIMS), HRIS systems (i.e. PeopleSoft), and/or Learning Management Systems
  • Proficient in MS Office 365 tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Sharepoint))
  • Previous work with universities and/or technical schools to support and develop workforce pipelines
  • Experience with Worker’s Comp / OSHA reporting

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong computer skills, administrative data control, scheduling and team interface
  • Looks for ways to improve and promote operational excellence and partner with operations leadership
  • Must be able to possess strong, planning, execution and multitasking skills and have demonstrated ability to reprioritize and quickly adapt to changes
  • Must be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Works within the highest level of integrity, ethics and safety
  • Operates under minimal direction and exercises independent judgment
  • Decisions are guided by policy, procedures and business plan

Other Requirements:

  • Professional demeanor and presentation skills for frequent customer meetings, presentations, and site visits
  • Experience with regulatory strategy and reporting, including AAP, I-9, EEO, Pre-Employment process, OFCCP, FLMA, FLSA, and EEOC requirements
  • Willingness and ability to drive to and support two (2) area locations (Moses Lake)

Pay Range (USD)

Note: The compensation information listed is a good faith estimate range for this position, it is estimated based on what a successful applicant might be paid: $85,733.00 - $159,218.00

Additional Compensation

Hired applicant may be eligible to participate in the Company’s Gain Sharing Program.

PTO, Holiday, and Family Leave

Employees will receive 11 paid holidays and 120 hours of PTO annually and up to 3 weeks paid family leave.
