This individual will be required to plan, monitor, and manage internal programs from initiation through completion. Lead or coordinate programs, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, troubleshooting and indirect people management. Monitor performance and recommend schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions. Responsibilities are within the Project Management Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.

Preferred experience includes:

Proficiency with program financial (P&L) management and program execution from proposal phase through close-out. Experience with Estimate at Complete (EAC) forecasting and Earned Value Management preferred. Strong interpersonal skills supporting the ability to engage effectively with cross-functional teams and internal and external stakeholders. Experience with and ability to brief program status to management and executive levels. Basic knowledge of or experience with component and assembly manufacturing processes preferred. PMP certification preferred.

 

 

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Has P&L responsibilities for a specific program.
  • Implements and administers one or more corporate programs, typically consisting of multiple programs or sub-programs.
  • Executes programs that meet the needs of the organization or its employees or customers.
  • Participates in all aspects of corporate programs, including planning, budgeting, staffing, and performance.
  • Promotes the program throughout the organization and tracks utilization.
  • Supervises the work of program or project staff to ensure that work in completed on time or in accordance with established standards or specifications.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics.
  • Ensures that activities are in compliance with organizational policies and any relevant external regulations.
  • Provides reports and updates to senior management or other stakeholders.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • Required Education: Associate's Degree OR Equivalent Combination of relevant Education & Experience
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Business degree preferred.
  • Years and Area of Experience (required for the role): 5-7 years’ experience relevant to the positions functional area
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to develop and mentor others. Management skills. Oral and written communication skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships. Detail oriented. Ability to meet deadlines. Project management skills.
  • Critical Professional Related Technical Skills; Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
