The Garland Team is seeking a Operator on third(3rd) shift.

Major Position Responsibilities

Position: Operator

Shift: Third (3)

Pay: $21.34 hourly

 

Essential Duties:

  • Follow direction of the lead and/or supervision.
  • Read and correctly interpret SOI’s and SOP’s required in job assignments.
  • Responsible for loading product into phosphate racks as required.
  • Ability to titrate each tank of the 8 stage and based on the titration, make proper corrections to maintain proper chemistry operating levels avoiding an out of spec condition.
  • Ability to calculate coating weights and successfully make proper adjustments to maintain required coating weight.
  • Ability to successfully trouble shoot the system based on the condition of the finished product.
  • Ability to rebuild the tank chemistry as directed by established guidelines.
  • Ability to adjust in-tank times (within spec) on either system based on tank temperatures and concentration levels.
  • Ability to assist in required maintenance (chemical or mechanical) as required.
  • Ability to operate either 8 stage system.

 

Basic Qualifications

Skills and qualifications required including but not limited to the following:

  • High school education or equivalent combination of experience
  • 1 to 3 years plating/coating experience.
  • Use of all instruments and/or gages required to accurately monitor chemical processing operations.
  • Safely and successfully operate loaded hoist to position loaded racks and baskets of products into and out of processing tanks at the proper time.
  • Can NOT be color blind.
  • Understand basic electronic control systems.
  • Math, communication and computer skills required to complete job tasks.

Work Environment:

  • Elevated temperatures, thick smoke, dirt and grease.
  • Physically able to lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Handling materials up to 900 degrees with proper tools.
  • High paced production environment to meet standards.
