Overview

The Sr Manager, IT Business Partner will represent both the Project Management Office and the Information Technology department as our liaison with the company’s business units and functions. You will help to convey our technology vision to the rest of the company in order to help them take advantage of existing and evolving innovations. You will act as our eyes and ears in the business to ensure our capability and direction are being conveyed and understood as intended. You will assist the business in the preparation of new project requests, helping to convey the needs in language most understandable to technology and non-technology professionals alike. Your primary goal will be to maximize the benefits of technology in the furtherance of our business goals.

Major Position Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Performs work across multiple areas of an organization’s overall IT Platform/Infrastructure including analysis of: IT Systems Software, Hardware & Databases, Data & Voice Networks and Data Processing Operations.
  • Leads the development of IT strategies that align with corporate goals and drive digital transformation across manufacturing sites and business functions.
  • Evaluates and suggests improvements to IT policies and procedures to boost efficiency, compliance, and long-term success in IT’s partnership with the business.
  • Identifies business needs and spearheads the creation of technology solutions to meet business objectives.
  • Leads IT project implementations across sites, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational efficiency.
  • Conducts cost/benefit analyses for proposed IT projects as input to the organization’s IT roadmap.
  • Heavily involved in hardware/ software/ vender selection, security, training, coordination and scheduling of IT initiatives.
  • The IT Business Partner will also have responsibility for:
    • Developing effective relationships with business units or groups of users
    • Ensuring required IT services are identified, developed and supported to the satisfaction of the business unit
    • Establishing and maintaining service level agreements and acting as the main point of contact for service issues
    • Working with the business and IT to ensure technology roadmaps are aligned to the business
    • Collaborating with the business to map existing technology solutions and integrations with other software.
    • Acting as a digital change agent during large system deployments.
  • Contributed to the direction and strategy for the organization's Information Technology function.
  • Establishes, evaluates, and recommends changes to IT policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization's long-term success.
  • Analyzes the needs of different departments and determines ways to meet business objectives by modifying existing or developing new information processing systems.
  • Ensures proper information system operations and plans necessary upgrades.
  • Conducts research and recommends the selection of IT equipment, applications, and supplies.
  • Coaches, mentors and provides general support/leadership to the organization on IT best practices.

Basic Qualifications

Required:

  • Associate's Degree
  • Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & Experience 
  • 8 - 10 years experience 
  • Hardware management. Help desk management. IT Asset Management Framework (ITAM). IT management. IT operations. IT performance management. IT Program management. Network management. Systems management. Technical project management. IT asset management software.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Information Technology or related discipline preferred

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to rematin in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. 
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
