Summary:

 

You must be a dynamic and innovative Sr Manager with experience in designing, implementing and monitoring a variety of HR programs in support of a high performance culture and diverse workforce. Anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with business management. We are looking for a leader that has passion for making a difference and a proven track record in the HR field, excellent interpersonal skills, keen understanding of business operations, who always acts with integrity and works collaboratively to ensure your role as a trusted advisor.

 

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Manages the HR function of an organization
  • Oversees execution of human resources policies and programs, which may include onboarding, training and career development, employee relations, and compensation and benefits planning
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including EEO, FMLA, and FLSA
  • Assists line managers in the application of HR programs to departmental operations
  • Lead and develop a team of HR professionals in a high growth, rapidly changing environment
  • Organizational development, coaching and mentoring
  • Answers employee/candidate questions about HR policies and offerings
  • Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & Senior Leadership
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition with recruiting, interviewing, and selecting employees to fill vacant positions
  • Administer and maintain accurate records of necessary federal, state, and local reports as required by the applicable laws, SOPs, and company policies
  • Maintain and update employee records and files in HRIS system
  • Maintain knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees and reduce legal risks
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of relevent education & experience
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years related Human Resources or Management experience and/or combination of experience and education
  • Willingness and ability to drive to and support four (4) area locations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HR experience with companies supporting 500 or more employees in a manufacturing environment, including multishift organizations
  • Strong preference bilingual - fluent in Spanish, written and verbal
  • Previous work with Universities and/or Technical Schools to support and develop workforce pipelines
  • Human Resources Certifications PHR and/or SHRM-CP
  • Experience in Labor Relations

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong computer skills, administrative data control, scheduling and team interface
  • Looks for ways to improve and promote operational excellence and partner with Operations leadership
  • Must be able to possess strong, planning, execution and multitasking skills and have demonstrated ability to reprioritize and quickly adapt to changes
  • Must be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Works within the highest level of integrity, ethics and safety
  • Operates under minimal direction and exercises independent judgment
  • Decisions are guided by policy, procedures and business plan

Other Requirements:

  • Proficiency with MS Office 365 tools
  • Professional demeanor and presentation skills for frequent customer meetings, presentations, and site visits
  • Experience in Talent Acquisition systems (i.e. iCIMS)
  • Experience and understanding of HRIS systems (i.e. PeopleSoft)
  • Experience with regulatory strategy and reporting, including AAP, I-9, EEO, Pre-Employment process, OFCCP and EEOC requirements
