The Accounting Supervisor performs and supervises accounting activities of the organization. This position is responsible for analyzing, generating, and presenting financial information as it pertains to financial transactions, budgets, and accounting information with limited supervision for the Healdsburg/Folsom organization. Additional key responsibilities include internal auditing, CAS/FAR/GAAP/FAP compliance, and Sarbanes Oxley reporting.

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Lead the local site month-end close process for submittal to home office for consolidation. This includes preparing month-end journal entries, booking home office allocations, reconciling inter/intra company accounts, financial statement review and analysis, working with home office finance department to properly record intra-company invoices.
  • Responsible for quarterly Balance Sheet reviews and monthly account analysis for various accrual accounts, cash forecasting, payroll, incentive compensation accruals and calculation of Forward Pricing Rates and Incurred Costs submissions to the government.
  • Follow up on expenditures of appropriations and supervises the assembly of data and comparisons of various budget items.
  • Prepare status reports of estimates, expenditures and project progress for management including Fixed Assets System, monitoring and reporting of Capital Appropriations and Construction in progress.
  • Supervise the GL account coding verification for all payment authorizations and expense reimbursement requests.
  • Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies, regulations, and procedures. Revises and amends subordinates’ work while adjusting for errors.
  • Present information to management and peers in compliance of CAS, GAAP and/or FAR requirements.


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 3 or more years' experience.
  • Department of Defense (DOD) accounting experience and demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
