Overview

We are seeking a Human Resources Intern to join our corporate HR team in St. Petersburg, FL.  We are seeking a student majoring in HR, Sociology, Business Administration, Psychology or any other applicable major with a desire to work in Human Resources who is proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, detailed orientated and eager to learn.

 

The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams on various technical projects associate with our core mission. As part of the Human Resources team, our intern will have an opportunity to report directly to the Sr. Director of Human Resources and will be given meaningful project work across all of our locations.

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Support Root Cause/Corrective Action efforts for specific HR related actions
  • Prepare HR-related reports as needed 
  • Update our internal databases with new employee information, including contact details and employment forms
  • Screen resumes and application forms
  • Schedule and confirm interviews with candidates
  • Post, update and remove job ads from job boards, careers pages and social networks
  • Participate in organizing company events and careers days
  • Assist the compensation manager to populate the Job Description template for the Job Description repository.
  • Work with the benefits manager to update Benefits Synopsis’ 
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in college majoring in HR, Business Administration, Sociology, Psychology, or other related major with a desire to work in Human Resources  
  • Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, detailed orientated and an attitude supporting a team service environment.
