Overview

This position works under supervision and oversees team member manufacturing assemblies and sub-assemblies.

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Provides direction to assigned building team members including morning kickoff meeting.
  • Assigns work and ensures daily production schedule is met.
  • Oversees training of assigned team members.
  • Trouble shoots problems in production and foster continuous improvement.
  • Assists in writing and auditing standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Ensure adherence to ISO quality standards.
  • May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
  • Perform minor changeovers, maintain set-up and operate a variety of equipment such as presses, paint spray booths, parts washers, soldering, etc.
  • Degrease, clean and oil weapon components using various types of chemical cleaners, oils, hot water, etc.
  • Performs work from established written work instructions, diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
  • Make continuity checks on work in process and completed.
  • May conduct inspections during assembly to identify defects in raw materials and in accordance with work instructions.
  • Pack out finished product/component as required.
  • Monitors work during assembly to identify defects in raw materials and in accordance with work instructions.
  • May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations, and keeping work area clean and free of FOD.
  • May be required to operate a forklift.

Basic Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) including a minimum of five (5) years in energetic manufacturing experience and 1 year leadership experience. Career Ready Certificate or Wage Certificate.
