A world class aerospace defense contractor conveniently located between Atlanta and Birmingham seeks a qualified Financial Analyst 2. Major Position Responsibilities

Summary: Analyzes and interprets complex financial data and accounting concepts or techniques for use in financial planning of assigned programs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Preparation of cost estimates using standard estimating tools such as Pro Pricer. Proposals may range from simple to complex accumulations of functional inputs provided by Operations, Sourcing, Engineering, Quality and Program Management across multiple WBS elements or tasks.
  • Development of estimates based on historical data which may require analysis outside of standard estimating tools.
  • Preparation of budgets for awarded contracts, responsible for preparation of estimates to complete for assigned projects.
  • Position requires active engagement with all functional groups in Anniston to support program performance monitoring.
  • Develop and communicate performance risks & opportunities and present financial information in concise simple terms with conclusions and recommendations.
  • Analyze and report on program performance on a regular basis to include concise information regarding all variances to budget.
  • Make or assist in estimates of new and proposed product or service costs.


Basic Qualifications


Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration from an accredited four-year college or university; 10 years cost accounting experience in manufacturing environment with a DoD contractor. Working FAR and CAS regulation knowledge is required.
