Major Position Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilites include but are not limited to:


  • Manage Production Floor Supervisors
  • Provide direction and leadership to the factory for safety, compliance, quality, cycle –time, cost, productivity, and employee relations
  • Develops and establishes manufacturing strategies and priorities to achieve operational business objectives/including but not limited to planning overtime schedules and daily production schedules
  • Promotes and leads continuous improvement activities through a team environment plant wide
  • Leads and promotes Kaizen events to improve operations and reduce waste
  • Manage crew/Staffing planning, budgetary planning and controls, staff development and performance management 
  • Initiates and maintains aggressive and class-leading productivity improvement, planning, and implementation programs. 
  • Support the development and implementation of strategic sales plan to accommodate corporate goals and expectations
  • Examines estimates of material, equipment, and production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy
  • Prepares bids, process specifications, tests and progress reports and other exhibits that may be required, prepares and/or compiles data for estimates
  • Pursuit of new opportunities and negotiates contracts with customers and/or bidders
  • Coordinates work of contracts, production and shipping departments to implement fulfillment of contracts

Basic Qualifications


Demonstrated leadership in project implementation, integrative thinking skills, with a strong focus on continuous improvement initiatives


Ability to develop a long-term manufacturing operational strategy, in addition to supervising tactical day-to-day activities.


Must excel in a team environment.


Assertive, detailed individual with strong follow-up; proactive with excellent people management capabilities.


Has strong sense of urgency to improve performance.


Must enjoy both the technical aspects of product manufacturing, as well as the interaction with program management, marketing management, and the customer.


Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing and lean tools.


Experience leading/facilitating Kaizen events


Experience in a Manufacturing environment, knowledge of manufacturing processes and flows
